I put this broom together and tested it around the house. Its bristles worked quite well on cleaning my living room shag carpet. It worked really well too, for sweeping the carpet runner in the hallway, an important test when you don't have a good vacuum. But I bought it for use inthe garage. It works really well for clearing dirt from the garage floor. The handle length is just right, although it doesn't feel that sturdy. But maybe that's because it's 3 pieces. It does an excellent job of clearing the dirt off my garage's cement floor. It's not the soft-bristle broom that I thought it would be, but I'm very happy with it.
